On 14 February 2026, a joint outreach activity was conducted in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Police and the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs to promote awareness and advocacy on critical social issues affecting young people. 🤝

The initiative focused on addressing violence and abuse, substance and drug misuse, and the growing concern of missing children.

🚨 Special emphasis was placed on engaging both boys and girls in meaningful discussions about personal safety, self-worth, and responsible decision-making, particularly during Valentine’s Day celebrations. ❤️

The program emphasized that 14 February should not be viewed as an occasion to compromise one’s dignity, safety, or future.

Young people were encouraged to uphold their values, resist peer pressure, and understand that their bodies and futures are not for sale. ✋🏾

Participants were also informed about available reporting channels and support systems, reinforcing the importance of speaking up against violence, exploitation, and abuse.

📢

This collaborative effort reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Police and the Ministry to protect children and adolescents, promote gender equality, and foster a culture of respect, safety, and responsible behavior among the youth.
